The ELCA is made up of 65 synods that make up the entirety of the United States and Puerto Rico. Resurrection Lutheran Church belongs to the South Dakota Synod of the ELCA. As a member church of the synod, we walk alongside other ELCA congregations and the synod to engage in local, statewide, nationwide, and international ministries. While each congregation has its own legislative powers, the South Dakota Synod also exists as a governing body which we participate in.
