Pastor Matt is originally from Maple Grove, MN. He graduated Luther Seminary in May 2019 and began his First Call at Resurrection Lutheran Church in August 2019. His goal in life is to help all people encounter and know the love that God has for them, and to help highlight the gifts each person has that makes them an integral part of God’s ministry. Pastor Matt loves preaching, worship planning, teaching, and dreaming with other people to consider how God is calling us to share the Gospel with others. He often wonders how the church can exist in online spaces. Outside of church, Pastor Matt loves to watch or play sports, and has a niche hobby playing video games to raise money for charity.

Coordinates musicians for worship and is the accompanist. Leads the choir, leaders, and music committee. I think music is a form of prayer and provides love and inspiration! RLC has many musicians who are always willing to lift their voices in praise. I have been at the piano since 3rd grace and have a Bachelor of Music degree.

I enjoy helping where I can and talking with people. I put together the bulletin for our worship services and funerals. I also find volunteers to help serve Sunday morning.
